Trauma is the #1 cause of death for Americans age 1-46, taking almost 200,000 lives every year. Hemorrhage (bleeding) causes approximately 40% of traumatic deaths. Severe hemorrhage can occur from an endless number of sources; from an active shooter in a school or mall to a car accident to a slipped kitchen knife while making dinner. Based on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), which collects data from fatal car crashes, the average ambulance response time to a fatal car crash is 15 minutes and 19 seconds. State average response times range from 6 (Illinois) to 36 (Wyoming) minutes. Not surprising that faster times are in more populous areas and longer times in more rural locations. We all need to be ready to help victims of trauma while waiting for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to arrive.
Warrior Tactical instructors are practicing public safety professionals; police and EMS, as well as educators, bringing real life experience to your classroom.
Warrior Tactical EMS Training, LLC also provides courses in CPR, First Aid, Narcan Administration, Active Shooter First Aid, and Tactical EMS.
